Sa pagbundak sa uwan
Gikan sa maitom nga panganod,
Ako naglaum ug diyutay’ng paghandom.

Sa paghapak niining hangin
Sa nipis kong panit,
Ako nangamuyo ug gamay’ng kaluoy.

Nilagubo ang dalugdog sa kawanangan.
Nisilaob ang kalagot sa kahanginan.
Gianod na’s unos ang mga langgam.

Basa na ang pus-awng dugnit
Nga giputos mo sa akong lawas.
Gidunggab na’s katugnaw ang akong kabukugan.

Ma,
Sa edad kong tulo ka oras,
Ako imong gipaanod sa baha
Padung sa akong lubnganan.

Ice Cream

Ug ang init nga hangin
Nga nigakos sa akong lawas,
Maoy nibuhi sa imong kaanyag.

Kini ang saktong takna
Nga ikaw akong nakita
Diin padung ko sa Robinsons
Aron mupalit ug ice cream.

Sa dihang mipahiyom ko kanimo,
Nibawos sad kag pahiyom nako.
Ug sa wala pag duha-duha,
Ikaw akong gi-imbita:
“Miss, care for some ice cream? My treat.”

Hilabihang lukso
Sa akong kasingkasing
Sa dihang imong gidawat
Ang makalilisang kong tanyag.

Wala nato damha ang oras
Ug ang mga mata nga naniid,
Nalingaw tang nangaon sa ice cream
Samtang naminaw ta sa tagsa-tagsang sugilanon.

Nagkatawa tang nanggawas sa Robinsons.
Ug sa dihang nisuway kog hikap sa imong kamot,
Matay! Murag kilat nga gitiunan ko nimog Swiss knife
Dayon declare ug hold-up:
“Ihatag nako imong wallet ug dili ka gustong mamatay!”

Dali kong gihulbot akong wallet
Ug sa usa lang nga pagpamilok
Sa nibudlat kong mga mata
Dayon kang nahanaw sa tapok sa katawhan.

Hay! Ice cream ray hinungdan
Sa akong hingpit nga kalautan.

Dili wallet ang akong gihandom
Kon dili ang imong maanyag nga nawong.

Nga makahilo inig paak,
Labaya lang ug bato
Aron mulakaw ug mahanaw.

Babag man sa imong agianan
Kining mga bato sa kabanwaan,
Ayaw balik sa daang dalan
Padayon lang sa paglakaw.

Ug kon ikaw masaag man gani
Subaya kining naglaray nga mga bato
Diin nabaid kanang imong lapadapa
Sa imong mga yatak.

Sa paghuni niining dakong agila
Ug pagtugpa sa gamay’ng maya
Ibabaw sa nagkahirig nimong laraw,
Ug sa padayon nga pagkab-ot sa gabon
Sa punuang bagakay likod sa imong lantay,
Hununga na ang paghandom kaniya.

Hulmaang bato kanang imong kasingkasing
Dayon itago sa kalimot.
Tungod kay bisag iyang anino

Grandma’s silent entreaty*

On our doorstep she stands
year after year
watching my sister leave.

When the bus blows its horn
she would wait unmoving
to see my sister
bid her goodbye.

With the bus lost in sight,
she would silently say: May you not
scratch your arms. May you not
catch a cold nor fever.
May your heart not break and
may you remain faithful in your vision
to reach for your dream and
make a life worth living.

May God give me more strength
to face the tides of time.
And may time extend my stay
to see you coming back home
bringing the fruits of your labor.

But if time would seem unwilling,
may you grow strong and fervent
to continue the battle
which I long started.

Our battle to break
the chain
of all our toils
and wretches.

After many years, Bool Central Sports Complex maging covered court na.. It is now under Construction.

Kadtong miuli ko Last June 4, nagsugod palang og kutkot sa mga buho and may natukod ng Poste after a week before ko mibalik sa Manila.,

This is thru the joint effort of our BArangay Officials.

Another Pride Of Bool: Congratulations to Oliver James Jadulco

Another reason for Boolanons to be proud of. Oliver James Jadulco a young artist represents Bool and the whole Culaba district for the Poster making contest that was held in Naval last April. He grabbed the first place and he was the representative of whole Biliran province and the whole Region VIII.

He was sent then to Davao City last May 17-22, 2011 for the National Competition and he got the 4th Place.

Oliver James Jadulco is another pride of Bool.
